Bill Thonn's financial services career spans more than three decades, including the last 15 years working closely as a strategic counselor with some of the country's wealthiest families and their advisors.

His work is distinguished by client-focused relationships built on trust and integrity, and Mr. Thonn has developed a finely tuned ability to serve as a strategic counselor to the wealthy. In addition, he has proven effective in identifying talented individuals and assembling teams of professionals who have the wherewithal to follow suit.

Prior to joining Whitnell & Co., Mr. Thonn was Executive Vice President with Harris Bank for a dozen years. There, he headed the Wealth Management Group and was responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction in the areas of investment management, personal trust, banking, financial planning and sales. He previously served as Vice President and Head of Private Banking for Bankers Trust in Chicago.

Mr. Thonn is a trustee of the Chicago Zoological Society, which oversees the Brookfield Zoo, and he is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives' Club of Chicago and the Chicago Estate Planning Council. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University.
