Robert Peckenpaugh has served as an investment management professional on a full-time, continuous basis for the past sixty years. Bob’s research process is based upon a disciplined, fundamental, long-term, value-driven approach to identify and manage portfolios of established quality companies with strong financial positions.
As an investment advisor, he works with individual clients and their families to develop and implement investment programs designed to achieve their financial goals. He also heads up the research and management of the Whitnell Core Equity Universe for portfolios not managed by third parties.
Bob served as portfolio manager for pension and profit sharing retirement trusts, charitable foundations, and college endowment funds. He invests for the long term, balancing his clients’ need for current income and growth of capital values.
Prior to joining Whitnell in 2006, he was the founder and President of Peckenpaugh Asset Management Inc. for 15 years. Previously, he held key leadership and investment management positions with Morgan Stanley, Hotchkiss & Peckenpaugh Inc., Chicago Title & Trust Co. and Security Supervisors Inc., all in Chicago.
Mr. Peckenpaugh received his Bachelor’s degree in finance from Northwestern University and his MBA degree with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Bob holds the CFA® charter and is a past president and a current member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
