Debbie Grudzien has over thirty years of experience in the financial services industry. She joined Whitnell as Chief Compliance Officer in 2010. Her responsibilities revolve around monitoring risk and administering the policies and procedures required to avoid violation of the Investment Advisers Act and its rules.
She is responsible for remaining current with changes in or additions to the regulatory requirements governing an investment advisory firm and is responsible for developing and enforcing appropriate policies and procedures.
Prior to Whitnell, Debbie spent thirty years in various roles with LaSalle Bank, a $100 billion Chicago based bank subsequently acquired by Bank of America. Her responsibilities as Senior Vice President included startup, implementation and management of LaSalle Bank’s mass affluent banking service; regional manager for LaSalle’s Hinsdale Wealth Management office; and team lead for one of LaSalle Bank’s Metropolitan Lending groups.
Upon joining Whitnell she completed the requirements of the NRS Investment Adviser core Compliance Program, which is designed to formalize and standardize the knowledge, skills, and ethical commitment of investment advisory compliance professionals. While with LaSalle Bank she held licenses for both the series 7 and series 66. She also attended DePaul University’s CFP classes. Debbie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from DePaul University.
